Echeveria forms a compact, symmetrical rosette of thick, waxy leaves, typically five to fifteen centimetres across. It slowly produces offsets, or 'pups,' at its base, which is part of what gives a mature grouping its full, layered look.

This one needs the brightest spot available indoors — full sun or as close to it as an office gets. It's genuinely not suitable for interior offices without strong natural light; in anything dimmer it stretches out and permanently loses its tight rosette shape. Where the light is right, it's a low-fuss plant that needs watering only occasionally, even less in winter.
