Design Freedom

Greenery where a live plant can't go

Ceilings and high ledges, windowless rooms, drafty entrances. We design greenery for the spots a live plant would struggle in, so the whole floor still reads as one space.

  • Custom layouts, from one planter to a full ceiling
  • Planters and vessels chosen to match your interiors
  • Live and artificial in one scheme, when the space calls for both

A Real Benji's Project

A ceiling planter for Adyen's Toronto office

Their café has a planter built into the ceiling, right above the kitchen island: too high to water, far from any window. We filled it with layers of trailing greenery, palms and succulents, arranged to look full from every seat. The same team looks after the live plants across the rest of the office.

“Efficient, creative, and always quick to respond — their attention to detail is amazing.”
Workplace Experience Manager, Adyen

Across The Room

Realistic enough that nobody looks twice

We choose every piece for realism: the shiny, obviously fake look most people picture is exactly what we avoid. From the next table it simply reads as greenery, and it stays that way, with no watering, no feeding and no replacements.

  • A light dusting keeps it fresh, and your cleaners can do it
  • UV-protected by the windows, so the colour holds
  • Certified to CAN/ULC-S109, with the certificate your Toronto building needs

Frequently asked questions

Can you work from our drawings or design intent?

Yes. Send us floor plans, renderings or your finishes and we'll build the plant layout around them. You approve the design, and every piece, before anything is ordered.

Do you supply the planters?

We do. We source planters and vessels that match your interiors, so the result looks designed, not bought off a shelf.

Do artificial plants need any maintenance?

Very little. A light dusting every few weeks, which your cleaning staff can handle. If you'd rather not think about it, we offer optional refresh visits to clean and rearrange.

Can you mix artificial and live plants?

Yes, and we often recommend it: live plants where the light is good, artificial where it isn't. We do both, so the whole space reads as one design.

What does UV-protected mean, and what is it for?

Strong sun fades artificial greenery. Over months on a south or west window line the colour drains out and the leaves go grey. UV-protected pieces are made to resist that and hold their colour in bright light. So it's worth telling us which spots get real sun: greenery on a window line has a harder job than greenery in the middle of the floor.

What is CAN/ULC-S109, and why would our building need it?

It's the Canadian test for how a material behaves when flame reaches it, and it's the flame-resistance standard fire codes point to for décor and hanging displays. Property managers ask for it so that nothing added to a space makes a fire worse. What each building asks for is different, so tell us which certification yours needs and we'll put together a selection that fits it.

Which areas do you cover for artificial plants?

Toronto and the GTA. Artificial plants aren't in Vancouver yet, though our live-plant services are. Join the waiting list and we'll let you know when we launch there.
