The Brief
We already run the live plant program at Adyen's Toronto office in the Financial District. The office café had one more spot for greenery: a planter built into the ceiling, right above the kitchen island, framed by an LED light strip.
A Centrepiece Overhead
We filled the planter with artificial greenery and designed it as the centrepiece of the café. It sits above the kitchen island, lit by the LED strip around its frame. There's nothing to water or maintain overhead.
Designed to Be Seen From Below
Nobody sees this planter at eye level. People look up at it from the kitchen island and across at it from the tables, so we arranged it for those angles. Layers of trailing greenery and ferns spill over the edge. Palms rise above them, with succulents and small white flowers for texture. It looks full from below and from every seat in the room.
One Design With the Live Plants
Because we also look after Adyen's live plants, the ceiling planter and the live plants read as one design, planned by the same people. You can read about Adyen's live plant program in its own case study.
Here's how Adyen's Workplace Experience Manager describes our service:
We couldn't be happier with Benji's plant service. Efficient, creative, and always quick to respond — their attention to detail is amazing.
