Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between renting and purchasing?
With rental, you don't buy the plants. A one-time initial installation sets everything up, then you pay a flat monthly rental for the plants and planters, plus monthly maintenance to keep them thriving. With purchasing, you buy the plants outright, and it's up to you whether we handle the ongoing maintenance or not.
Is there an upfront cost?
Yes — a one-time initial installation covers the design, delivery, and setup of your whole program. It's far smaller than buying every plant and vessel outright, and after that you're on two predictable monthly lines: the rental of the plants and vessels, and maintenance. There's no large day-one purchase.
Is there a minimum term?
Rental runs on a 24-month minimum, then continues month to month for as long as it's working for you — no forced renewal or end-date decision. It's designed for larger offices, typically 40–50 plants or more; for smaller spaces, our purchase and maintenance plans are usually the better fit.
Will my monthly cost stay the same?
Your plant-and-vessel rental line stays flat for the life of the rental and never rises. The maintenance line adjusts annually in line with our standard service terms — the same standard of care we bring to every Benji's program.
What if a rental plant doesn't survive?
Any plant that declines is replaced at no extra cost — the plants are ours, so keeping them healthy is our responsibility, not yours. You'll never have a brown plant sitting in your office.
Can I buy my plants later?
Yes. After the 24-month minimum you can buy your plants outright, and we credit 100% of your initial installation toward the purchase. If you'd like to keep maintenance going afterward, it simply continues.
