Every October, somebody in your office gets handed the holiday decorating. They call three companies. Two send a paragraph and a number. One never calls back. Nothing is comparable, nobody publishes prices, and the decision gets made on a gut feeling about which email sounded nicer.
So here's ours, in full. Canadian dollars, before HST.
The Short Answer
- A decorated interior — $2,397 to $5,042 for the season
- A decorated street entrance — $2,208
- Live poinsettias — $79 each
That's the whole cost. Design, materials, delivery, installation, and taking every piece of it away in January are all inside those numbers. There is no second invoice in the new year.
Where the Range Comes From
The $2,397 package dresses one reception plus a kitchen or lounge: a decorated tree, two garlands, two tabletop arrangements, lights and ornaments.
The $5,042 package is for three or more areas: a second tree, a third garland, four tabletop arrangements and a white orchid for reception.
The gap between them isn't quality. It's square footage. Decorating reception beautifully and stopping there is a completely legitimate choice, and it's what most offices under 5,000 square feet should do.
The $2,208 exterior package is separate because it's a different craft — two tall white planters built with fresh cedar, pine, cones and berry picks, which is what holds up outdoors in a Toronto winter. Already own planters about the same size? It comes to roughly $1,823.
The One Question That Exposes a Quote
Ask: is January removal included, or billed separately?
This is where cheap quotes stop being cheap. Decorations go up in a good mood in November and come down in a bad one in January — and if takedown isn't in the contract, it either becomes a surprise invoice or it becomes your office manager's problem on a step ladder.
Two more worth asking:
- Who stores the materials? Ours come back with us. You should not be finding a bin of ornaments next October.
- Is plant care included? For us, no. The poinsettias and the reception orchid need a little water from your team. If we already look after your office plants, they're covered on our regular visits at no extra cost.
What Waiting Costs You
Nothing, until it costs you everything.
Installers have a fixed number of working days between mid-November and mid-December, and those days fill in the order deposits arrive. Booking late doesn't raise the price — it just narrows your choice of date until there isn't one.
- By October 31 — confirm package and colour. A 50% deposit holds your date.
- November 10 to December 10 — we install, around your schedule.
- January 5 to 15 — we come back and take it all away.
So, Is It Fair?
It depends entirely on who walks through your door in December. Clients coming into reception, a street entrance on a busy block, a team you're trying to coax back into the office — six weeks of decorated space earns its keep.
A back-of-house floor nobody visits? A garland in the kitchen is the right amount to spend, and we'll tell you so.
We're not the cheap option. We just do a good job — and the number above is the number, with removal already in it.
