Pygmy Date Palm, known to botanists as Phoenix roebelenii, is a single-trunk palm with fine, feathery fronds, typically growing 3–5 feet tall. Its height is set at purchase — cutting the crown kills the stem, so what you buy is close to what you'll always have.
