The pitcher plant belongs to the genus Nepenthes — a trailing vine whose leaf tips form tubular pitchers 5–15 cm long, giving it an unmistakable look nothing else in an office has. In hanging baskets, the vines trail 30–60 cm, and it's a slow to moderate grower whose pitcher production depends heavily on light and humidity.
