About Benji's
Benji's designs, installs and cares for plants in offices across Toronto and Vancouver, and has done so for over 40 years. We work with some of the most beautiful workplaces in the country, including Shopify, CBRE and WeWork.
We're growing our Vancouver team and looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician who wants to see plants thrive and clients smile. You bring an understanding of plant care and a good eye for detail; we'll train you to be an expert.
What you'll do
- Visit Vancouver client offices on a schedule provided to you, and work independently on site.
- Water, prune, fertilize, clean and groom interior plants so every installation looks its best.
- Spot problems early: pests, disease, overwatering, light or humidity issues, and the one wilted leaf others would miss.
- Identify when plants need replacing and flag it so we can quote and swap them.
- Carry and lift equipment and materials, and use a ladder or step stool to reach plants.
- Leave every client site clean and orderly, and be a friendly, professional face for Benji's.
- Record your visits and notes accurately in our scheduling app.
What you bring
- A genuine interest in plants and in learning how to care for them. Experience is an asset, not a requirement.
- Attention to detail and pride in your work.
- A valid driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle for getting between client sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to stand or walk for long periods.
- Comfort working on your own and managing your time across a day of site visits.
- Clear, friendly communication with clients and teammates. Client-facing experience is a plus.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Compensation & schedule
- Pay: $25–$32 per hour (CAD), based on experience.
- Schedule: part-time to start, weekday daytime hours, on site at client offices across Vancouver, with the opportunity to increase hours over time.
- Vacation and statutory holidays in line with the BC Employment Standards Act.
