Probably the most commun pest on house plants. They are very small, barely visible with the naked eye. They can be detected by the damage they cause. They suck the juices of the plants and in the process the chlorophil, consequently the foliage looses colour as if marked with tiny yellow spots. They also leave very fine webbing usually on the underside of the leaves and that webbing is sprinkled with what looks like grains of salt which are the molted shells of the mites as they grew. They are found on leaves and stems. As most other insects they suck the sap and weaken the plant. In warm weather they multiple very fast and can destroy a plant in a matter of weeks. To destroy them it is important to apply the treatement repeatedly so new generations are destroyed as they hatch.
