White cottony insects. while they are sufficiently large to be easily visible,
they often hide in crevices and can escape detection.
They are found on leaves and stems. They suck the sap and weaken the plant. In extreme cases they can be so numerous that they kill the plant.
While they are easily kill with a Qtip
dipped in alcohol it is difficult to find and destroy them all and they will
usually reappear.
