World of Tropical Plants and Interior Plantscaping
Dracaena Janet Craig
One of the hardiest Dracaenas, it will thrives in medium locations and will survive in low light spots where few other plants would. Not to say that it is a mushroom and can live in the dark. As with most other plants watering is heavily influenced by light conditions. It prefer to go lightly dry between waterings and care should be taken not to overwater it particularly in very low light spots.
It is susceptible to various pests such as scales, mealy bugs and to a lesser extent spider mites
Additionally, Dracaenas are one of the plants used in the NASA Clean Air Study and has shown to help remove Formaldehyde. The wide leaves on Dracaenas can and do accumulate dust. Wipe leaves down regularly with a damp cloth to remove dust.
