Very colourful foliage. They come in many varieties with many different leaf shapes and colours.

While it will survive in medium light conditions but the foliage will tend to loose colour and revert to green. It will be at its best in bright locations.

Watering is heavily influenced by light conditions. It should never to go dry between waterings but should not be kept wet either. It should be protected from cold drafts as this leads to leaf loss.

It is susceptible to various pests particularly Spider mites in summer if the plant is allowed to dry out. You should also watch out for mealy bugs.
